As our new Head of Engineering Support Korea you will join MAN ES Korea in an very interesting developing phase. We are the global market leader of energy efficient and fuel flexible large marine engine systems. We are looking for a manager who is self-driven, but still a team player and who thrives to lead a team of experienced production and operational engineers.

What are you going to do?

As head of Engineering Support Korea your base will be in Geoje/Ulsan and you will be responsible for the daily management of your team of 25 supervisors covering Operation Service & Production Support.

Your team is stationed at our Korean 4S & 2S Licensees, and you must expect frequent travels across Korea. Here you will seek that our licensees are enabled to produce and deliver our engines and solutions in a competitive way and in a reliable quality.

You will establish support to our licensees and will also include co-operation with ship yards, owners, classification societies. It will essential that you have intercultural skills and have the ability to define clear targets and follow up.

Further as our head abroad you will also assist our Sale & Promotion and join exhibitions and assist with technical aspects.

  Job Description

  # Manage our site offices and lead the supervisors into digital solutions of Engine Connectivity and Smart Licensee

     Support.

  # Ensure that our Licensees are supported sufficiently.

  # Together with our Vendor Control you will maintain existing vendors as well as develop new vendors.

  # Provide both quality control & assurance at our licensees and vendors, and lead them into digital solutions.

  # Coordinate new engine types, trainings for our Licensee and vendors.

  # Build bridges and ensure that valuable feedback are addressed to Copenhagen, in order to support the most

     optimal and competitive design of Engines and Solutions.

   Qualification

   # A background as mechanical or marine engineer - University degree or equivalent in an technical discipline

     (Technical knowledge of diesel engine auxiliaries and electric equipment.)

   # 10+ years of experience in the field.

   # Detailed understanding of diesel and gas engine applications including maintenance, operation and 

      control systems.

   # As our new colleague, you have strong interpersonal skills and a flair for communication with candor and respect.

   # Your business mindset ensure that our Korean licensees and sub suppliers will produce robust technical and

     competitive solutions.

   # You have strong communication skills on all levels in the organization as well as towards our customers.

   # Strong communication skills (Korea and English).

   # Professional experience in engine manufacturers, shipyards and shipowners in the field of application services, 

      commissioning or engine operations preferred.
